Life in Portland so far...

Portland is beautiful... it is like living in a postcard! I am amazed that there is so much beauty all around. It has been wet in the mornings and then it gets fine in the afternoon. It is really easy to live here. We are enjoying the hats & the wrapping up. We do love seasons. The leaves are so pretty, all different colors. Our eyes have been starved for color for a while so it is nice to have color again...
It is a week to the day since we got here & the week has proved interesting. Allison has asked a lot about returning to Phoenix. There have have been a lot of tears between her & I this week. It is a definite adjustment.
At the moment we are staying with friends, we are indebted to them for their goodness to us. We have spent almost all week here searching for somewhere to live. We have finally found somewhere we really like, so now are in the application process. They say that our move in date should be sometime around the November 2nd. We are excited. It will be nice to have our own place. I think it will stop feeling like a vacation and more like the reality of really living here.
